Lagos State Emergency Numbers

I heard a public announcement on the radio today informing residents of Lagos state on emergency numbers to call in case of emergency/fire/robbery or any event that demands intervention and so i thought i should share.

You can call either 112 or 767 and the great part of this initiative is that it is toll free, i.e you do not need to have credit to call those numbers as they are free.

The Registrar of Jamb Prof. Dibu Ojerinde announced the release of the 2011 Jamb exam
yesterday and i'll quickly be going over some points and stats that he gave yesterday.

• 1, 493, 604 candidates registered for the 2011 jamb
• 1, 450, 143 candidates sat for the exams while 43, 461 were absent.
• 22, 664 results were withheld this year.

Zain changes to Airtel. Not again!

I really thought that once celtel was purchased by Zain that the bi-annual sale of the company originally known as Econet Nigeria will stop but it seems that they had other things in mind. A visit to Zain(err....sorry Airtel) revealed that they have already re-designed the office and everything within it.
