Most times the causes of broken links are sometimes because a content is no longer available or because it has been deleted without your knowledge.
I'll be sharing two softwares that i use to detect broken links on this blog.
The first is Xenu's Link Sleuth
Its very easy to use and it gets broken links by entering the URL where you want to search for broken links.

It also checks for broken link by URL. It features many advanced features.
